Ton has managed hotels, worked for the Dutch Royal Family and owned his own restaurant.

Ton's passion for service began at an early age while spending countless hours at the coffee shop his parents owned in Amsterdam. After finishing Hotel School with a specialty in cooking, service and pastry, Ton joined the Royal Dutch Navy for 6 years as a Purser and professional black belt judo competitor.

While working for the Royal Family for 8 years, Ton studied management courses, which eventually lead him to work as Manager in several hotels and restaurants until he opened his own restaurant in 1980 with his wife. After 12 years, Ton sold the restaurant and became a consultant for training butlers and staff in high-end restaurants and hotels including Altamer in Anguilla and the 7 * Pangu Plaza in Bejing, China.

Ton continues to use his many years of experience and knowledge as a butler consultant working with The Guild of Professional English Butlers and Triple S. 

His goal is to educate the younger generation on the finer points of service that he has learned through the years.
